The Meeting 1,708 Days After The First "Groundhog Day" Email

Hello all you beautiful people!

Thank you to everyone who showed up tonight, we do appreciate all your support and are super psyched that we don't have to yell at an empty patio space!

Tonight was short and sweet, reviewing that we had a little trip to Soergels that was a little hectic thanks to Kira getting wrecked by illness, but it sounded like those who were able to go had a really nice time!

Second we held signups for Cherry Springs! Cherry Springs is off in the North middle of PA, and the darkest place in the state making it the perfect place for stargazing! I even hear that we have some rumors of meteor showers??? But I literally overheard those two words so I have no clue if that's actually accurate. But it should be a lovely trip out in cabins for warmth! Because of the cabins, we have limited spaces on the trip. That being said, if you have gear that can handle COLD weather, there's a spot on the form to indicate as such.

Two further announcements regarding future meetings: we'll be having signups for our (potentially) last outdoor climbing trip. This will be at McConnell's Mill, which is about an hour's drive. This is a day trip and will be coinciding with our hiking trip to the same location. If you are interested in going on the climbing portion, you NEED a belay cert from Trees Climbing Wall (on upper campus) or Ascend or some other certified gym. Otherwise it'll be a nice little beginner-friendly trip!
We are also finalizing our club info session powerpoint and stuff. This will replace our GBM some upcoming Tuesday and will be super great for those of you who want to be officers or for those just curious about how the club runs.

Anywho, that does it for me!
Have a lovely rest of your week, soak in that gorgeous weather!!
Love you byeeeeeeeeeeee
