It's been an interesting semester, lots still to do, but lots done too and so much of it is thanks to all you lovely people coming out and showing your love and appreciation for the outdoors. We did NOT have Breakneck this past weekend due to inclimate weather, we are working on rescheduling this, those who were put on the first trip will get priority to go on the rescheduled one! We have Cherry Springs coming up! Two weekends away, to be precise! Hello beautiful people! What a crispy cold day! I very much understand why you may not have joined us today, if you did, more power to you! Power aside, we will be indoors meeting through the rest of the semester because of temperatures that we anticipate will continue to drop, unfortunately that does mean masks, but it also means a lack of hypothermia so that's dope too. We will be in Lawrence 232! This past weekend we had Soergal's! Many apples bought and emancipated from life immediately, apple cider was ingested, goats were pet, pumpkins were observed, and only a few people had to reverse on the interstate to make it. We are two straight trips with a car breaking down. Luckily one has already gotten better! This weekend we have breakneck, signups are being rolled out late and this is a limited trip, the roster should be coming out tomorrow sometime. Hello beautiful people! In place of McConnell's Mill this weekend (long story, officer cars are up and down), we will be having a trip to Soergals! It's a quaint little farm with apples and pumpkins and fall vibes? Will be from 9:30ish to 2-3ish, if you're planning on going to the football game, so are others, cars will be going! Hello everyone! Once again, sorry for the delay on the email, busy week! Last weekend we had Raystown mountain biking! All had a lovely time and some had a gnarly time! Respect to those that came out a little banged up as they really just want to heal up to get right back! Hello Beautiful People! We got a meeting and oooooooo baby it's gonna be a good one. This past weekend we had a highly successful backpacking trip to Laurel Highlands, our President and one of the leads on the trip, Kira will give you a lil more detail: Hello y'all- Kira here (editing this draft for this blurb, Aidan does a fantastic job writing the rest)- Evan and I led the Laurel Highlands backpacking trip this past weekend and it was dope! We left Saturday morning and got back Sunday afternoon (after a very important pit stop at DQ and McDonald's of course). The Highlands are gorgeous and the weather was perfect- around the 60s the whole time- with just a bit of rain Saturday evening (we had already got to camp so some people went for an additional pack-less hike while others (like myself) chose to take a cozy nap and wait out the rain), otherwise sunny and lovely. We hiked about 7.75 miles each day, so a total of 15.5 miles (and those who did a bit of extra hikin' t

To all you lovely people out there, We have a meeting today (Tuesday 9/14)! Same time, same place. That being: 9pm, on the WPU Lawn, also known as this place right here: Okay sick, that oughta do it! In other news, selections have been made for Ohiopyle! We are so so so happy with the amount of people who wanted to go on this trip. Unfortunately, campgrounds are only so big, and we only have so many supplies, and we have a budget per person. If you are going, you should have gotten an email about it. If you did not get an email, do not despair. This is but one of many many trips that we will have. (And lowkey this one will prolly be super busy compared to some of the later ones). SPEAKING OF, we have a much smaller trip coming up. In some ways, that could mean that it's more competitive, in other ways, it could mean that a little tight-knit group of backpackers form! Hello Beautiful People! This is the big email. You want information? I gotchu. ... I think ... Yeah I think I have the information, it's right over... AH! There it is, okay, so: This is the outdoors club! Hello! What do we do? Well, we do most things outdoors! Hiking, backpacking, camping, climbing, caving, kayaking, mountain biking, XC skiing, trailrunning, bikepacking? Paddleboarding? SKY DIVING??? We haven't done the question mark ones in a while if at all, but we have officers who are interested in these fields and looking into the feasibility of making these new trips! Now, what does a 'trip' mean exactly? It can mean so so much. The one and only trip I've been on was a day trip down to lost crag for outdoors climbing in Late February. It was cold, I butchered my fingers, and I hope dearly that we offer that trip again.
