Pre-Meeting Email for 9/20/22

Just a quick little email regarding our meeting tomorrow, once again this will be held at 9pm in the WPU plaza, facing the porch. Little clarification: the officers will be on the porch, members in the plaza, we'll shout down at you.

First, our roster for Breakneck has been released, and everyone on the trip has received information regarding the trip: please check your email to make sure you're at tomorrow's meeting if you're on the trip. We will be dispensing important information.

Second, we will be holding signups for Dolly Sods! Dolly Sods will have an early departure on October 1st. Saturday and Sunday will hold a combined ~20 miles of backwoods backpacking, we can provide some gear, but cannot outfit a roster's worth of backpackers, if you have your own gear, that would help. While this sounds a bit grueling, the views are well worth it and it is one of our most popular backpacking trips.

Finally, if Dolly Sods sounds interesting to you, but you haven't been backpacking, we are holding an information session on backpacking after announcements tomorrow. Our backpacking chairs will be covering all sorts of details about backpacking, like gear and how to backpack in a safe and fun way! (I am not a backpacking expert so they can speak to this at the meeting)

The Closing of the Semester

Hello all you beautiful people!! I am completely floored that it is already April 17th, we will not have a GBM tomorrow as we simply have no more information to impart! It has been an absolutely amazing semester and year! Two years back from the covid desolation, and I would hazard to say that you can't even tell. This year went by so much smoother, we had a better idea of what we were doing and the dozens of officers that joined our ranks made the process so much easier to manage. Thank you to all the officers who assisted in making this year the amazing success that it was. That being said, we do not have this club without all you beautiful people who show up to celebrate the amazing outdoors, so truly I say thank you to you guys as well. We have yet to decide if we're doing a senior send-off or something for the officers that our leaving us, I cannot say for sure what that will look like, but I'm sure I'll have a part to play in that.
