An indeterminate number of days since the first groundhog email

Hello beautiful people!

Look, imma square with you, it's 12:35 when I'm writing this, I'm typing it on my phone, and I cannot be bothered to find the last meeting email to do the math to figure out that number. But I'll do it or something similar for the next one! Pinky promise :)

Anywho, this one might be a tad dense, so I'll try to be brief where I can, and entertaining where I can't.

FIRST
McConnells Mill, this Sunday, Feb 27th. Signups are now CLOSED but those who made it onto the roster have been notified!! We tried to have a good blend of those who know the trip rigmarole and new friends for this trip! We're workin' on the schedule for the rest of the semester, more fun stuff coming your way :)

SECOND
Omg hi hello, this is our first in-person meeting in a hot minute, quick recap, we have a bunch of new officers on-board/in training- we're gonna wait a bit to introduce everybody, but we did some intros at the meeting on Tuesday and if you see some new officers around say hi!!

THIRD
We gonst to have a Discord!!! GroupMe is annoying and not super easy for us to manage so we're gonna try and see if discord makes streamlining info to you guys easier! More news coming soon, we haven't made the Discord yet but it'll be put in place :) 

FOURTH
We are working on MEEERCH!!!!!

FIFTH
First Ascent Pittsburgh is a brand new climbing gym that is opening this Saturday! They asked us to plug it, and we like climbing so yeah why not! Day passes are gonna be $5, free gear rental, but because of that, our estimates would place an ass load of people there, so like, it's a grand opening, it will be crowded, but it is a new gym, so like, up to you :) It's in Station Square! They validate up to 2 hours of free parking at the Station Square Parking Garage- but take the bus if you can, good for the environment and you don't have to even worry about parking! 

LASTLY
Yeah that's pretty much it, we want you to know we haven't been sitting on our asses this whole time, we've been discussing trips, merch, budgets and all that fun stuff. I also wanna apologize to my climby friends that like, 90% of the climbing chairs are not in the country, but we are planning ahead to make sure that the fall is super sendy and super fun and all around the bestest thing ever.

Okay, I'm gonna, re-read this in the morning before I send it out, so apologies to morning me, but I hope y'all are staying safe, staying warm and getting all antsy bc we are about to start sending it!

The Closing of the Semester

Hello all you beautiful people!! I am completely floored that it is already April 17th, we will not have a GBM tomorrow as we simply have no more information to impart! It has been an absolutely amazing semester and year! Two years back from the covid desolation, and I would hazard to say that you can't even tell. This year went by so much smoother, we had a better idea of what we were doing and the dozens of officers that joined our ranks made the process so much easier to manage. Thank you to all the officers who assisted in making this year the amazing success that it was. That being said, we do not have this club without all you beautiful people who show up to celebrate the amazing outdoors, so truly I say thank you to you guys as well. We have yet to decide if we're doing a senior send-off or something for the officers that our leaving us, I cannot say for sure what that will look like, but I'm sure I'll have a part to play in that.
