Update!

Here comes a thing, do do do do
Here comes a thing, and I said
It's alright...

Oop, Kira said she loves the song, but doesn't want me to call this thing "alright" my b.

Oh and it's also misleading because there's multiple things. So all around, terrible start my bad.

Take two

Hello everyone!

There's stuff coming up!

1) We have a litter pickup in Schenley this Saturday at 11am at Flagstaff hill. Our chair Owen was walking by when he noticed that it was cluttered with garbage and that's a shame. So we wanna do something about that. If you're interested, please come by with a love of nature in your heart, we will provide bags and gloves, but if you want to bring your own, that's helpful too! Please also fill out the interest form if you're coming so we know how many people to expect!

2) We are still hibernating with bigger events, but do know that we are holding officer meetings on zoom organizing plans and trips for later this semester! There will be stuff I promise!

3) One of the things we are discussing and getting underway with is merch! As promised, everyone will be getting a shirt with their membership and we're also looking at getting a few other merch options for minimal fees on top like stickers etc. We're also working on a new logo for the podc, so you'll be unlike any other past members with these shirts!

4) Last but certainly not least, we are in the market for more outdoors club chairs! We're holding a zoom on Feb 1st with more details, but we're essentially looking for more hands to assist with the mammoth task that is running this club and its hundreds of members. With more chairs, we would also be able to make trips more personalized endeavors, with the hope of assigning each group of five or so members with a chair of their interests. It bears reminding that this isn't something you should do if you just like sending, there is a managerial and responsibility aspect to this and as much as we want more chairs, we also want chairs that will assist with the running of the club, so please don't apply as a chair if you don't want work to come with it! As for what chairs we're looking for, we're primarily interested in: climbing, backpacking, biking, kayaking, caving, or any other activity you want to be more present in the club. Now that I'm writing it out, that's pretty much everything we do with a spot for anything else. SO, if you want to help us plan and lead trips with any outdoors activity in mind, please swing by that meeting on Feb 1 around 8-9pm.

We cannot wait to get merch out to you and are super stoked at the prospect of more chairs so we can keep doing more and more and make this club even more impactful!!

Thank you for slogging through this lengthy email, please email me if you have any questions. Also don't worry about me sending this at 6 am, I'm in the UK right now, so it's actually a very reasonable 11am, don't fret, I haven't lost my sloth-like ways!

Stay safe out there, please don't get covid, we have enough varients as is. Let's all get over this asshole of a pandemic so we can get back out there in full force getting sendy!!

Brace for the cold, don't get hypothermia, love y'all!
