One More Email for the Road

For one last time this semester, Hello Beautiful People! It's been an interesting semester, lots still to do, but lots done too and so much of it is thanks to all you lovely people coming out and showing your love and appreciation for the outdoors. And boy howdy, we've got one more for you! This Saturday or Sunday we will be holding a little stroll through Schenley (not all of Schenley, this is a small trek) and would like to gauge interest/availability. So, if you're interested, please take the time to vote for your day in this bitty interest form (it will legit take 10 seconds). We'd love to see you there! https://forms.gle/1vEgFuVt1vrgXoyw5 As for me, it's been a true pleasure emailing everyone, and the reception to my emails has been really sweet. I wish you all the best on your finals and hope that you're snuggled up by the fire with some cocoa waiting for dear Saint Nick to trespass on your property before you know it. If you celebrate something other than...

The Meeting 1,350 Days After The First "Groundhog Day" Email

Hello Beautiful People! I think this is gonna be a pretty brief email, so let's see if my hunch is correct! We did NOT have Breakneck this past weekend due to inclimate weather, we are working on rescheduling this, those who were put on the first trip will get priority to go on the rescheduled one! We have Cherry Springs coming up! Two weekends away, to be precise! We held signups at the meeting and are providing the opportunity here too:  https://forms.gle/8bdAKFRD7Qq6wCcA9 We will endeavor to make the roster quickly in order to get you the info quickly! Plantsburgh is an event that is being held in the WPU lower lounge on November 8th at 3pm, if you want to hear from some speakers and get some free plants, please attend! Pumpkin recycling (pumpkins must be *untreated*) is happening this Thursday and the next Thursday in the WPU plaza from 10:30am to 2pm. Also, we had some lovely Art of Making students in our meeting today, it's a difficult class, both Kira and I are alums and...

The Meeting 1,343 Days After The First "Groundhog Day" Email

Hello beautiful people! What a crispy cold day! I very much understand why you may not have joined us today, if you did, more power to you! Power aside, we will be indoors meeting through the rest of the semester because of temperatures that we anticipate will continue to drop, unfortunately that does mean masks, but it also means a lack of hypothermia so that's dope too. We will be in Lawrence 232! This past weekend we had Soergal's! Many apples bought and emancipated from life immediately, apple cider was ingested, goats were pet, pumpkins were observed, and only a few people had to reverse on the interstate to make it. We are two straight trips with a car breaking down. Luckily one has already gotten better! This weekend we have breakneck, signups are being rolled out late and this is a limited trip, the roster should be coming out tomorrow sometime. Climbing at breakneck is open for all, beginner friendly, but there are some challenges out there for you sendy folks too! We ...

The Meeting 1,336 Days After The First "Groundhog Day" Email

Hello beautiful people! In place of McConnell's Mill this weekend (long story, officer cars are up and down), we will be having a trip to Soergals! It's a quaint little farm with apples and pumpkins and fall vibes? Will be from 9:30ish to 2-3ish, if you're planning on going to the football game, so are others, cars will be going! If interested, please sign-up SOON, the roster is being made tomorrow:  https://forms.gle/dmxMq44a7ou35XRQ6 In two weekends, count em, that's halloweekend, we will have a day trip to breakneck! This is a climbing trip, friendly for beginners and pros alike, bouldering is available as is top rope! We plan to take about 25-30 people out, there will be sign-ups at our next meeting! Last but not least, we regretfully will not be holding a trip to Seneca Falls this fall, various issues from lack of caving to lack of hiking means we will be pushing this trip to the spring so we can work on a better plan and make sure this trip is worth the multiple h...

McConnell's Mill is next weekend, we plan to have some hiking there and signups will be at next Tuesday's meeting and sent in the (more timely) email immediately after! One of our former members, Nicole Thompson, and a former manager at the Trees Rock Wall now works out in California and sent us some national park job applications, knowing we have access to many an outdoorsy folk. I will forward these emails separately, please peruse if interested! Last but not least, the men's soccer team has asked us to ask you guys to attend their soccer game, normally we wouldn...

However, that trip is in two weeks we also have... Raystown this weekend! TWO TRANSITIONS Raystown also might not be this weekend. There's a chance of rain so the officers heading that trip are watching all the dopplers, smelling all the ozone layers and tracking all the storms. They will make a call once we get closer to the date, if you are on that trip, that roster is also set, you know if you're on it and they'll communicate what's happening! We had Dolly Sods this past weekend, it went great, all those...
