The Meeting 1,652 Days After The First "Groundhog Day" Email

Hello everyone!

If you're here for the information please read on, but if you want to UNSUBSCRIBE, please just follow this link and follow the instructions, I promise it's faster than me unsubscribing you one by one.

Might I just lead off by saying that it's a true delight to be back. Seeing all your lovely faces tonight just made us feel so supported and we cannot wait to serve you as best we can to get you outdoors and see you get sendy!

Enough pleasantries, it's time for the juicy, juicy MEETING NOTES.

First up, just some general info about club function for the uninitiated: we will be setting up trips throughout the school year, organizing lodging and stuff like that. (You will have to provide your own food, sorry) But we also pride ourselves on creating a space for outdoorsy folks to meet each other and find people with like interests. For every trip we launch, we're confident we're introducing future friends and potential send buddies for years to come! But primarily we work to set up trips, you sign up for them, we make the roster and take you there! This does require dues of $20 for the year and filling out the waiver, the former of which does require an in-person hand-in of cash at our weekly meetings.

Next up! We are back and bigger than ever! Our officer board is so much larger than it was last year, for more details please check out the 'officer info' tab on our discord! The biggest change is merely that we have VPs for each speciality, be it backpacking, climbing, biking, etc. Those are the best people to contact if you have questions about those specific things, however, as always, I'm happy to answer any questions you have!

Third up: we have a discord! Please make an account (ideally with a name that resembles your name so we aren't confused by who's talking to us) and join right here:
This is just a better system we feel as all the chats and information is right there and readily available, feel free to mute chats you aren't interested in and play with notifications so that it's personalized just the way you like it!

Fourth up: We have an event this weekend! Marlo and MJ are heading a hike around Schenley park which is an excellent way to get some fresh air before the semester gets too crazy or is a great way to get familiar with Schenley if you're new here! They will be meeting any and all interested parties at 2pm under the Schenley plaza tent on Saturday. As this is staying in Oakland does not require signups, dues or a waiver to be filled out, so if you wanna go, do it!

Finally! We have Ohiopyle! It's not this weekend, but the next! Weekend of the 10th/11th. The signup form is below and if you're interested, there is more information there so you can find out if it fits your vibe!

And that is just about that! If you have any questions, please check the FAQ that we have updated and probably has an answer to your question: http://pittoutdoors.blogspot.com/p/faq.html

However, if you exhaust that, never hesitate to email me!

See you around!
Love you byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
