No Meeting and Sustainability Solutions Competition

Hey All Outdoorsy Folk,
I hope everyone had a fergilicious Christmas break.  There will be no meeting this Tuesday 1/10.  Our first meeting will be next Tuesday 1/17 at 9 pm location TBD.  Matt will be talking about his trip to the Alps to get some winter stoke going.  Hope to see you there.

Guess what?! There's STILL TIME to sign up for the Sustainable Solutions competition! You can sign up with a team OR as an individual.

Not sure what Sustainable Solutions is? Like us on Facebook at "Sustainable Solutions 2017" to learn more or read below!

Signing up with this link DOES NOT mean you have to compete! It simply means you will attend one or both of our introductory information sessions tomorrow (1/10) and Wednesday (1/11), both from 6:30pm - 8:30pm in WPU 548. 


If you sign up as an individual, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you attend both of these sessions, as they will be excellent opportunities for you to form teams with other students that signed up individually.

Even if YOU are not interested, PLEASE SEND THIS ALONG to people who might be!

What is the Sustainable Solutions Competition (SSC)?

The Sustainable Solutions Competition creates a forum for interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students to create a plan for a sustainable campus initiative to be implemented at the University of Pittsburgh.  The winning team receives project funding (up to $10,000), implementation guidance from the Student Office of Sustainability and the Office of PittServes and each team member will receive an individual gift.

The Closing of the Semester

Hello all you beautiful people!! I am completely floored that it is already April 17th, we will not have a GBM tomorrow as we simply have no more information to impart! It has been an absolutely amazing semester and year! Two years back from the covid desolation, and I would hazard to say that you can't even tell. This year went by so much smoother, we had a better idea of what we were doing and the dozens of officers that joined our ranks made the process so much easier to manage. Thank you to all the officers who assisted in making this year the amazing success that it was. That being said, we do not have this club without all you beautiful people who show up to celebrate the amazing outdoors, so truly I say thank you to you guys as well. We have yet to decide if we're doing a senior send-off or something for the officers that our leaving us, I cannot say for sure what that will look like, but I'm sure I'll have a part to play in that.
